Position Title: Nurse, Mock Surveyor

Who May Be Considered:  SLU Alumni with Joint Commission mock survey experience (ICU, Cath Lab, other specialties). 

We are inviting all active, retired, and passionate new specialty nurses who are interested in learning more about survey regulations and international interpretive guidelines. This experience presents an excellent opportunity to work within a global program to enhance professional development. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborates on an international project regarding survey regulations on specialized units. 
  
• Reviews mock survey results with hospital leadership to empower facilities to take ownership of the survey process and utilize results as a driving force to improve service
  
• Specialty nurses will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with SLUNAAI and our partner medical center, working together to achieve mutual goals.

Joint Commission is recognized as a leader in healthcare quality and patient safety. They help healthcare organizations achieve excellence in patient care and safety, making a significant impact on global health standards. There are only a handful of Joint Commission-accredited hospitals in the Philippines.

Recognizing the value of raising awareness of Joint Commission standards among hospitals in the Philippines, SLUNAAI is excited to announce its partnership with the SLU Nursing Program's hospital affiliates.  As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, we aim to conduct an Accreditation Simulation, bringing together SLU nursing alumni who are practicing in Joint Commission-accredited hospitals.  This collaborative initiative will play a vital role in advancing the quality of healthcare across the country.

Transform and drive the culture of quality improvement and patient safety.

Goal

Minimize high patient safety risk practices and reduce workflow variability.

Measures for Success:

30% increase in staff awareness of Joint Commission Standards via pre and post evaluation

Deliverables

• Joint Commission Tracer
  
• Coaching on how the Joint Commission Tracer is used
  
• Recommendations for mitigating high patient safety risks and reduction of variability in workflows and processes
